Genital Reconstructive Surgery

Reconstruction of genitals are gender specific and rarely it is gender assignment if one is ambiguaous. Commonly presented genital anomalies are Hyposadias in men where in the urinal opening is abnormally high under the phallus while phallus itself assumes an abnormal shape upon errection called chordee. This problem is addressed by reconstructing the deficient length of urinary passage while this also straightens the phallus correcting the chordee. In rare occasions the private parts might be missing either from birth or very rarely later on from injuries. There are reconstructive techniques to reconstruct the organs to assign them with gender identity and meaningful life.
